Ford Australia has revealed its ongoing support of in-form Gold Coast-based V8 Supercar team Super Cheap Auto Racing, completing a good weekend on the business front for lead driver Steven Ellery.

Ford's Motorsport operations manager Stephen Kruk made the announcement at the same time that Super Cheap Auto declared its continued support of Ellery's eponymous team.

"Ford is delighted to extend its sponsorship of Super Cheap Auto Racing," Kruk said, "The company is committed to V8 Supercar and Super Cheap Auto Racing is part of that future.

"We want to create an environment where all Ford teams can win and achieve great results, like the ones produced by the Super Cheap team at Sandown and Bathurst.
It is important to Ford that every Ford team has the will and the resource to push for the podium and the top-ten."

Ford's support of Super Cheap Auto Racing was based on its belief that the team was going in the right direction. The Blue Oval was also very pleased with the decision by Super Cheap Auto to also re-sign with Steve Ellery Racing.

"Super Cheap Auto is a great supporter of Ford, and motorsport, so we are thrilled for Steve Ellery and the team to hear it has extended its sponsorship," Kruk continued, "We all know that Super Cheap Auto is a small team, but its commitment to success just goes to show that if you work hard rewards come your way, which is very much a Ford philosophy"
