Zukanovic and Mundy stay together.

PCR/Actron Air Racing's Marcus Zukanovic and Kevin Mundy share the same garage in the Konica Minolta V8 Supercar Series and this weekend they share the same grid row after qualifying side-by-side for the first of three races at Winton tomorrow.

After a tremulous start to the event the pair qualified eleventh and twelfth respectively and will start the opening race from row six on the grid.

The teams test day earlier in the week was anything but smooth and resulted in some major changes being undertaken to both cars prior to this morning's first practice session.

Marcus Zukanovic put in a blistering lap in his second practice to clock the third quickest time of the session while an intermittent electrical problem hindered Kevin Mundy's #56 Ford Falcon AU, but he still managed to keep the car in the top ten for both practice sessions.

"We had a few niggly problems to iron out with the car prior to this round so I was pretty happy with how I qualified," Zukanovic said.

"The car felt really good in both practice sessions and I managed to keep her on the bitumen which is always good. I am looking forward to tomorrow's races, I am confident I can bring the car home in the top ten," Zukanovic said.

After missing most of the first practice session Kevin Mundy was relieved when the team discovered the cause of his problems prior to qualifying.

"I was really hoping the boys could get the car right before qualifying," said Mundy. "Thankfully they found the problem and I actually managed to get in a bit of practice before qualifying.

"I would have preferred to be a bit further up the grid but considering the problems we have endured this week I am quite happy.

"My fitness is really good and I have been training hard the past month so I am looking forward to tomorrow's races, especially the third race which is 24 laps.
