V8 stars to show epilepsy support.

The V8 Supercar Championship Series will show its support for epilepsy sufferers before the Queensland 300 this weekend.

All 32 Supercars will support the "Bring epilepsy out of the shadows - turn your lights on campaign" by turning on their lights during the official warm-up for the race following a similar show of support in Brisbane last week when motorists turned their lights on in peak hour.

The campaign is designed to make the community aware that many people with epilepsy are reluctant to disclose the fact that they have epilepsy because of public misconceptions and stigma and is a show of support to the 75,000 Queenslanders who are affected.

Racing great Dick Johnson has also thrown his support behind Epilepsy Qld by offering to be celebrity guest speaker at a lunch on 5 July.
