The Australian V8 Supercar Series will savour the delights of a Cougar Bourbon and the highly popular Cougar girls with the news that Carlton and United Beverages will be major sponsor of this weekend's Tasmanian Triple Challenge.

Now named as 'The Tasmanian Triple Challenge presented by Cougar' the move represents a further move by the drinks company which also promotes its VB brand through the series.

Now named as 'The Tasmanian Triple Challenge presented by Cougar' the move represents a further move by the drinks company which also promotes its VB brand through the series.

The pedestrian bridge over the circuit is promptly renamed as the Cougar Bourbon Bridge as part of the agreement.

AVESCO boss Tony Cochrane praised the deal. "Carlton & United Beverages are a fantastic partner of the V8 Supercar Championship Series," he says, "It is great to see they are now extending their series support to provide major sponsorship for the Tasmanian Triple Challenge.

"The involvement of Carlton & United Beverages is a huge coup for what is shaping up to be a very exciting event."

From the brand Geoff Jones expects good times ahead. "Cougar is all about having a good time with your mates and the essence of the Supercar Championship Series is similar, this sponsorship is an ideal opportunity to bring two great brands together in support of each other," he said.

"Cougar has been riding the wave of an exciting time lately with new product extensions and a humorous advertising campaign in the market place. Becoming the major sponsor of the Tasmanian Triple Challenge is another way to create a great opportunity to enjoy a Cougar and good times."
