Winterbottom to leave Larkham/Orrcon.

Larkham Motor Sport has announced that it will release Mark Winterbottom from his V8 Supercar contract at the end of this season.

The split is apparently an amicable one, designed to improve the fortunes of both team and driver. Winterbottom joined Larkham at the start of the 2004 campaign having won the former Konica V8 title under the tutelage of Stone Brothers Racing and established himself as one of the leading lights in the category. Paired with veteran Jason Bargwanna at LMS, however, results were hard to come by.
