New look for Tasman.

Tasman Motorsport will debut a new look this weekend as the V8 Supercar Championship heads to Symmons Plains for the penultimate round of the season.

Jason Richards and Greg Murphy's Commodore race cars will carry the Rockstar livery for the final two events of the 2007 season after a deal was done with Rockstar Energy Drink - a brand new to Australia and more commonly found in the United States.

"Rockstar is an exciting brand and they intend to become a significant player in the Australian market," managing director Jeff Grech said, "so we are delighted they have chosen to partner Tasman Motorsport in V8 Supercars."

Richards said he was looking forward to debuting the new look in Tasmania this weekend.

"If the Rockstar Commodores go half as fast as they look, then watch out!" he said, while team-mate Murphy agreed.

"The cars look great and we're looking forward to getting back to a fast setup at Symmons Plains," he said. "The change will do us good."
