d'Alberto unveils new colours.

Tony d'Alberto has lifted the lid on his striking new V8 Supercar livery, unveiling the #3 Centaur Commodore on the eve of testing at Winton Raceway.

Geared up for a big season, d'Alberto says his new livery reminds him of his 2005 Development Series car when the colours black, white and red also featured heavily.

"I've always loved the mix of black, white and red," he said, "They're strong colours and always work well together. I'm really happy with the final product - the car looks great.

"In 2005, the same colours marked the first year that TDR ran its own team so, for me, it was important to get back to our grassroots. With our own REC, it was a natural decision to race in these colours again."

The slick new design features a crisp, clean look with major sponsors Centaur, Bellmont and d'Alberto Holden all taking a leading role.

"We have taken a fresh approach and gone with a very clean and distinctive look," the driver added, "The car looks really cool and there's no doubt you'll see some more sponsors joining us very soon. We're very focused on building relationships for the future."

Other partners already confirmed for 2010 include MotoSign, Castrol, Biomax, Revolution Racegear, Biante and gameday.com.au, but Centaur - the manufacturer behind Victoria Police's new divisional vans - is the central focus.

"It's great to have Centaur on board, and I'm appreciative of their support," d'Alberto noted, "They have a major project on with the police vehicles and I'm eager to promote and represent the brand in the V8 Supercar Championship Series."

Centaur Racing will work closely with Walkinshaw Performance in 2010, gaining input with an engineering agreement.

"It's a solid relationship and we're looking forward to continuing our work with WP," d'Alberto claimed.

With a shortened off-season, the driver praised team manager Darron Tait and his crew for ensuring the Centaur racer was ready and raring to go.

"The boys have worked tirelessly over what was a short break and put together a car we are confident will perform well," he concluded, "It's been a huge effort by everyone involved. It's a big year for all of us, we're focused on achieving good results. We're not here to make up the numbers."

The team will return from Winton late Monday and make any final adjustments before flying to Abu Dhabi for the opening round of the V8 Supercar Championship Series.
