Former world champion Marcus Gronholm has admitted that he was distracted by a light on his dashboard at the very point where he crashed out of third place on the Wales Rally GB.

Runaway championship leader, Sebastien Loeb has taken the advantage on the Wales Rally GB this [Friday] morning, by posting the quickest times through SS2 and SS3, the Frenchman now at the top of the leaderboard, 19.5 seconds up on Marcus Gronholm, who lies second.

Gronholm fights at the front for Peugeot.
Peugeot driver Marcus Gronholm has ended the first leg of the Rally Great Britain in a strong third place, and is well-placed to challenge for outright victory over the remaining two days. His team mate Harri Rovanpera has finished leg one in a points-scoring eighth.

Martin escapes Welsh mud to lie fourth.
BP-Ford World Rally Team drivers Markko Martin and Michael Park ended today's opening leg of the Rally GB in fourth after a day of treacherously muddy conditions in the forests of south Wales.

Wilson: Ford exit could cost 100 jobs.
Ford rally boss Malcolm Wilson has admitted that the uncertainty over the Blue Oval's future in the World Rally Championship is causing him to put staff at the M-Sport operation on possible redundancy notice.
