Razgatlioglu wins UK WorldSBK Race 1

It's victory in dominant fashion for Toprak Razgatlioglu in Race 1 at the UK WorldSBK.

Bulega takes second place, and Petrucci third.

Locatelli and Rea in a Pata Yamaha 4-5, and Redding hangs onto sixth ahead of Aegerter and Gerloff who caught that group by the end.

Gardner and Iannone round out the top-10.

15:32
Lap 22/23

Redding visibly struggling for rear grip and Rea finally gets through at the penultimate turn as we go onto the final lap.

15:30
Lap 20/23

Rea tried to pass Redding at the hairpin as the Ducati rider ran wide, but was able just to close the door in time. Rea still right with him.

15:28
Lap 19/23

Under 7s now for Razgatlioglu. Only four laps to go, though.

Podium all locked up now barring errors: Bulega almost 4s clear of Petrucci, and Locatelli 2.5s behind his compatriot.

Biggest battle is Redding vs Rea for fifth.

15:25
Lap 17/23

Bulega faster than Razgatlioglu that time, for the first time. Only  by 0.016s, though. 1:27.4 from both of them.

15:23
Lap 16/23

7s now for Razgatlioglu. This is very dominant. He's just done a 1:27.1, which is his slowest  lap since he inherited the lead from Lowes and still faster than most of the times Bulega's put in since then.

Locatelli back up to fourth at the Old Hairpin that time by.

15:22
Lap 15/23

Locatelli now putting the pressure back on Redding for fourth as Petrucci has now two seconds over the pack behind him.

15:21
Lap 14/23

Bulega back down to a 27.0 on lap 14, only a tenth slower than Razgatloglu and 0.3s faster than Petrucci, so looks like lap 13 was a blip for him.

15:20

Think there was a mistake from Bulega on lap 13 - he did a 1:28.620,  second slower than Petrucci and 1.5s slower than Razgatlioglu.

15:19
Lap 13/23

Over 5s now for Razgatlioglu. Even if he runs into some late tyre trouble it's tough to see Bulega clawing that back in 10 laps.

Petrucci is pulling away in third now, he has around half-a-second over Redding.

Locatelli, Rea, and Aegerter still just about in the group but they're clearly losing time in the final split.

15:17
Redding P4

Redding up to fourth past Locatelli at Melbourne as Locatelli runs in there too deep.

15:17
Petrucci P3

Petrucci makes his move at the Old Hairpin on Locatelli and the Barni Ducati rider is up to third.

15:16
Lap 11/23

4.5s for Razgatlioglu. Bulega now 3.5s clear of Locatelli.

Petrucci really applying the pressure to Locatelli for third now.

TV replays showing a technical problem for Lecuona.

15:14
Lap 10/23

4s now for Razgatlioglu. Bulega has over 2.5s to Locatelli who remains in charge of third place.

Redding has passed Rea for fifth.

15:13

Iker Lecuona has retired, too.

15:12

Axel Bassani has crashed out at turn one.

15:12
Lap 8/23

3.7s over the line for Razgatlioglu that time. He's still in the 1:26s, but Bulega managed a 27.0.

In the battle for third, Rea was passed by Petrucci at the Old Hairpin that time around so it's now the Italian who leads the charge behind Locatelli.

15:11
Lap 7/23

3.5s now for Razgatlioglu. He's the only rider in the 1:26s .

Locatelli still holding onto third but Rea, Petrucci, Redding, even Aegerter in seventh are there behind him.

15:09
Lap 6/23

Big lap for Razgatlioglu there. He's 2.8s clear now over Bulega, who has 1.7s back to Locatelli, who has Rea and Petrucci for company.

15:08

Tommy Bridewell has crashed out a the Old Hairpin. Attritional race so far.

15:08
Lap 5/23

2.3s over the line that time for Razgatlioglu with 18 laps to go.

Strong start further back for Redding. He's seventh from 17th on the grid.

Rabat has crashed out at the final corner.

15:06
Lap 4/23

Razgatlioglu back to the lead after Lowes' crash. 2.2s for the Turkish rider over Bulega, who is up to second.

Rea third, Locatelli fourth.
