Dutch WorldSBK Results - Race 2

Andrea Locatelli takes his maiden WorldSBK win in Race 2 here at Assen. Bautista takes second, ahead of Gardner.

Further back, the positive news for Bulega is that Alex Lowes and Lecuona both passed Razgatlioglu on the final lap, so only eighth for the BMW rider.

It's the final lap for Locatelli, who leads Bautista by 2.6s. He's staring at his first victory, somewhat fortuitously.

 Bulega has  suffered another technical problem! He's out, and Locatelli now leads.

Bautista continuing to pull away from Gardner, but not closing in on Locatelli.

Almost two seconds for Bulega now. The clear battle remaining is Bautista versus Gardner for third, although the Spanish rider appears to be making that his own, too.

1.5 seconds now for Bulega. It's over at the front barring errors. Locatelli, though, looks safe from Bautista with six to go.

Bulega's gap out over a second now. Locatelli with a second back to Bautista, too, who still has Gardner and Lowes on his tail.

Bulega continues to lead from Locatelli, about half-a-second between them.

Bautista up into third now having passed Gardner at turn six.

Bautista makes a mistake at turn one and drops behind Gardner.

Locatelli just about keeping pace with Bulega for now as we approach 9 laps to go.

Bulega takes the lead at the end of the back straight. Big questions about to be asked of the rest of the front group here.

It's static at the front for the first time in a while, and the rear three are just beginning to fall off perhaps.

Locatelli still leads from Bulega, and Sam Lowes has rejoined the leading group - Razgatlioglu and Bassani still relatively in touch, too.

Locatelli now leads, passing Bautista at the chicane, and Bulega passes Bautista into turn one as well!

Sam Lowes now past Razgatlioglu who is now back to sixth, as Bulega now jumps onto the back of Gardner in third.

Locatelli clears Gardner for second while Razgatlioglu and Bulega were battling.

Bulega now past Razgatlioglu at the chicane, and he covers the inside at turn one to prevent a retaliation.

Bulega passes Lowes for fifth at the end of the back straight, and a battle between Locatelli and Gardner allows Bautista a gap.

Bulega's now cleared Bassani for sixth, and Bautista is just about hanging on at the front ahead of Gardner and Locatelli.

Quite a race brewing here!

Gardner makes his first attempt to pass Bautista at the chicane but the Spaniard holds on for now. 

More or less a leading group of seven, back to Bulega.

Bautista leads by a few tenths over Gardner. Locatelli and Gardner still second and third, with Razgatlioglu and Lowes just behind. Bassani going well in sixth, and Bulega is now up to seventh.

Razgatlioglu wide at Ramshoek on lap two and that allows Locatelli back into third place after Razgatlioglu had responded to the earlier turn five move.

Sam Lowes going well, too, in fifth at the moment.

Bautista leads lap one from Razgatlioglu, then it's Gardner and Locatelli in third and fourth - top four with a  bit of a gap.

And Garner passes Razgatlioglu at turn one. Now Locatelli to third at turn five.

Iannone on the charge, too, he's up to fifth from the fourth row.

It's lights out in Assen for Race 2, and it's a holeshot for Alvaro Bautista who beats Razgatlioglu to the apex of turn one.
