Full Biography

After coming through the Red Bull Rookie Cup, Lorenzo Baldassarri made his Moto3 debut in 2013 before an immediate jump into Moto2 for his second season in the Grand Prix paddock.

A series that would be his home for eight seasons, Baldassarri was often seen as a contender for the championship which never came to fruition.

A four-time race winner in Moto2, Baldassarri’s best seasons came in 2018 and 2019, before a switch to MV Agusta in 2021 saw the Italian endure a disastrous campaign.

Still a very talented rider with good potential, Baldassarri was picked up by the Evan Bros. Yamaha team for the 2022 WorldSSP championship.

Baldassarri became an instant threat for victories, whilst also posing a title challenge to eventual winner Dominique Aegerter.

After securing four wins and a total of 16 podiums in his rookie season, Baldassarri was signed to WorldSBK for the 2023 season by series debutants GMT94 Yamaha.
