British Motorsport Promoters Limited (BMP) is delighted to announce that Dunlop will be the Title Sponsor and Official Tyre Supplier to the 2002 National Junior Superstock Championship as well as the Title Sponsor of the British Superbike Superpole Qualifying Practices.

BMP and Dunlop have agreed the deal, which clearly emphasises both companies' commitment to the development of new British racing talent.

The National Junior Superstock Championship aims to continue to develop young talent in the 16-22 year-old age group on homologated Supersport machines running to Superstock regulations.

BMP wants to ensure that all competitors riding in the already oversubscribed Championship have the opportunity to use tyres of similar quality, affordability and controlled performance.

"Following the success of the championship in 2001 we wanted to continue to offer the same opportunity to riders in the 2002 National Championship and I'm delighted that our agreement with Dunlop perfectly fits the criteria," explained British Superbike Series Director, Jos Foulston. "The new agreement clearly illustrates that both ourselves and Dunlop are dedicated to continuing the production line of young British riders."

All Junior Superstock riders will be offered Dunlop tyres at a specially reduced price and all tyres will be distributed at random. Dunlop will also implement a winning bonus scheme throughout the season. The winner of each round will receive one front and two rear tyres, second place one front and one rear, and third place one rear. Additionally, a nominated Rider of the Weekend and a randomly chosen competitor will receive a set each.

"We are really excited to be associated with British Motorsport Promoters and the National Junior Superstock Championship," said Bob Heywood, the General Manager of Dunlop's Motorsport Division. "We also feel it's a great opportunity for us to really help up and coming British talent."

The 13 round National Junior Superstock Championship will feature at all 2002 British Superbike Championship events, commencing at Silverstone on 1st April.
