Jardine: I'm going to miss it.

Ousted ITV1 Formula One analyst Tony Jardine has said he is going to miss being part of the British terrestrial television channel's coverage in 2006, but he's got plenty of other media plans up his sleeve.

Jardine, who was part of the ITV Formula One coverage from when the commercial television channel took the rights from the state-owned BBC network, will not be part of the forthcoming season's coverage.

Ousted ITV1 Formula One analyst Tony Jardine has said he is going to miss being part of the British terrestrial television channel's coverage in 2006, but he's got plenty of other media plans up his sleeve.

Jardine, who was part of the ITV Formula One coverage from when the commercial television channel took the rights from the state-owned BBC network, will not be part of the forthcoming season's coverage.

"I'm going to miss it, but I've got plenty of other media opportunities to keep me busy," Jardine told Crash.net. "I've been with ITV since the beginning of their Formula One coverage and before that I was with the BBC as their pitlane reporter. It's been brilliant."

ITV1 also sees the departure of Jim Rosental from the role of 'anchor' and the arrival of Steve Ryder from the BBC.

As well as his media commitments, Jardine also owns a PR company which looks after a number of motorsport accounts including Bridgestone, Martini and Silverstone.
