Computer Associates and the West McLaren Mercedes Formula One team have expanded their technology partnership, with the aim of further boosting the team's race performance in 2003 and beyond.

The Mild Seven Renault team completed its latest productive test today [Thursday], after spending three days running at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.

Toyota's new signing Olivier Panis was a surprise fastest in the second day of testing at a cool, but dry, Barcelona. During his 74 laps of running, the Frenchman found a grippy set of Michelin's that put him 0.25secs clear of next fastest Alex Wurz.

Still hoping for a belated Formula One return, Dutch ace Jos Verstappen decided to take part in the annual karting Winter Cup at Michael Schumacher's 'home' circuit of Kerpen at the weekend. Unfortunately for the Minardi aspirant, however, things did not go quite to plan.
Pizzonia crashes again.
Antonio Pizzonia has crashed his second Jaguar in little over a week, this time badly damaging the F1 car in which he is preparing to make the graduation from the FIA F3000 season for 2003.
Barcelona test - day one: 3 December.
Mark Webber had the perfect start to testing at the Barcelona circuit, ending the first day of action fastest overall, with a best time of 1m 18.177s. Webber completed 64 laps in total and was around one tenth up on the next fastest driver, BMW WilliamsF1's Juan Pablo Montoya.
F1 tests for Nico Rosberg and Dirk Muller.
It was to be an unforgettable experience for up-and coming young racing driver Nico Rosberg. This [Tuesday] afternoon the Finn embarked on his first Formula One test drive in ideal conditions on the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona.
Minardi returns to Cosworth power for 2003.
The KL Minardi Formula One team today announced that it has reached an agreement with Cosworth Racing for the supply of its highly competitive V10 engines in 2003.
FIA declines Arrows entry for 2003.
Formula 1's governing body, the FIA, has today revealed the full entry list for the 2003 World Championship and the big news is that Arrows' request to compete next year has been rejected.

Antonio Pizzonia has crashed his first Jaguar, but fortunately neither the young Brazilian or his three passengers were hurt in the incident, which followed the end of official Formula One testing at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya.
Coulthard heads Michelin tyre test.
David Coulthard came out on top of the three drivers who stayed on in Spain to conduct a wet weather tyre test for Michelin after the two group tests in Barcelona and Valencia were completed.
Problems and progress for Toyota.
It was a day of mixed fortunes for Panasonic Toyota Racing on the final day of this week's Barcelona test, as rookie Cristiano da Matta had another solid day but veteran Olivier Panis was left to kick his heels in pit-lane for much of the session.

McLaren again established itself as the team to beat in Valencia, as Kimi Raikkonen and David Coulthard set the pace on the third day of testing at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
Mosley: Rule changes won't stop Ferrari.
FIA president Max Mosley has hit back at criticism of the regulation changes that will take effect in Formula One from next season by saying that they will not affect one team more than any other.

Jaguar new boy Antonio Pizzonia, set the quickest time today [Wednesday] during the second day of testing at the Circuit de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain.
Valencia test - day two: 27 November.
West McLaren-Mercedes duo, Kimi Raikkonen and Alexander Wurz set the two quickest times today [Wednesday] at the Valencia circuit, Spain. Raikkonen took the top spot though, one tenth quicker than test driver Wurz.

Under sunny Spanish skies, KL Minardi today began the first day of a two-day test session in company with a number of other Formula One teams.
Purnell replaces Lauda at PPD.
Tony Purnell has been named as the man to replace the deposed Niki Lauda at the head of Ford's Premier Performance Division, taking on the role of director of technology. The team principal's role at Jaguar is still up for grabs, however.
Valencia test - day one: 26 November.
BMW WilliamsF1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya set the pace today [Tuesday] at the Valencia circuit, Spain. JPM completed 52 laps and posted a best time of 1 minute 13.346 seconds - around two tenths up on the next fastest driver, McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen.

Renault to start winter tests in Valencia.
The Mild Seven Renault F1 Team will be kicking off its winter test programme with Jarno Trulli at the Spanish circuit of Valencia. The Italian driver, going into his second season with the French squad will be driving for the four-day session, from the 26th through the 29th November.
