The Japanese driver Shinji Nakano who last year drove for the Prost Formula One team has today (30/1/98) signed for the small Italian Formula One team Minardi run by Giancarlo Minardi at Faenza.
First Tyrrell Test.
Tora Takagi today Thursday (29/1/98) tested the new Tyrrell 026 Cosworth powered F1 car for the first time at Silverstone, he aquitted himself well and stated that he was very happy with his first impressions of the car despite the damp and cold conditions at Silverstone.

The latest driver to be linked to the Tyrrell F1 team is the ex Minardi driver Tarso Marques who was released from his contract last week.

The Williams FW20, the car that will challenge for the 1998 FIA Formula One World Championship, was unveiled today (28/1/98) at Silverstone Circuit, UK by their two drivers 1997 F1 World Champion Jacques Villeneuve and 1997 runner-up Heinz-Harald Frentzen.
Nakano To Join Minardi?
The Japanese F1 driver Shinji Nakano who drove for the Prost Mugen-Honda team last year may be in line for a seat at Minardi.
