Marques to get the boot?

The European-Minardi team may be on the verge of firing Tarso Marques if rumours in the Italian press are to be believed.

Marques has so far failed to adapt to F1 with grooved tyres and has been consistently outpaced by his teammate and F1 rookie Fernando Alonso.

According to sources in Italy Marques could find himself without an F1 drive by the French Grand Prix. Several drivers are being linked to the team including Gianni Morbidelli, Prost reject Gaston Mazzacane and Andrea Piccini.
