After Lewis Hamilton picked up his sixth Formula 1 world championship title at the United States Grand Prix, is he now the championship's greatest of all time?

Hamilton became just the second driver in Formula 1 history to win six or more world championship drivers' title by wrapping up the 2019 drivers' crown at the Circuit of the Americas last time out, beating Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas to his third successive title triumph. 

The Briton is now just one title away from matching Michael Schumacher's all-time record of seven world titles. This got us thinking... Where does Hamilton rank in the top 10 Formula 1 drivers of all time.

With so many greats throughout Formula 1's illustrious history, narrowing a final list of 10 was always going to be a challenge, but we've risen to the task to consider who is the greatest driver of all time.

Not only is on-track success considered, but also the impact and lasting legacy and impression drivers have left on the sport. History has been created by all of the drivers featured in the rundown, which includes the likes of Hamilton, Schumacher, Ayrton Senna and Juan Manuel Fangio.
