One rule to remember: whatever driver qualifies in H1 may not drive again in H2.
So, that opens the door to some interesting strategy in terms of driver a team uses for the first part of this session.
We had two red flags in last night's qualifying session, so that will be something the drivers will have to bear in mind.
12 cars in each class have made it through to Hyperpole this evening.
In LMGT3, the No.46 WRT BMW was fastest in qualifying on Wednesday evening.
In LMP2, the No.199 AO by TF car led the class on Wednesday evening.
So, in this LMP2/LMGT3 Hyperpole 1 session, the slowest four cars in each class will be eliminated and will not advance to Hyperpole 2.
Good evening and welcome back to Le Mans!
We're getting into the serious stuff now, with Hyperpole coming up in 20 minutes.
First away is the LMGT3 and LMP2 class.
The opening qualifying session at Le Mans on Wednesday saw BMW up at the sharp end in second, which came as something of a surprise for Kevin Magnussen.
But he is confident the pace shown on Wednesday is indicative of a legitimate BMW pole shot in Hyperpole later today.

The next track action we'll have is at 8pm local time, which will be the start of Hyperpole.
The LMGT3 and LMP2 cars will be out first.
Cadillac has provided an update on the engine change the No.101 car underwent during the FP3 session.
Travis Hogue, Wayne Taylor Racing vice president and general manager: “At the start of the session we saw something that we were questioning, so out of caution we decided to change the engine. Typically, that would be a longer change but with the guys we have and the motivation they have to do this race, they did a fantastic job in under two hours to get us back on track.”
That's all from FP3. The No.5 Porsche leads the Hypercar times with a 3m24.717s.
In LMP2, it's the No.29 TDS Racing top with a 3m36.827s.
In LMGT3, it's the No.27 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin that sits fastest with a 3m55.897s.
The FP3 session has come to an end, with the No.5 Porsche leading the way outright.
Full results to follow.
The FCY is removed almost as quickly as it was deployed. We are back under green flag conditions.
A full-course yellow has been deployed. The cause of the caution is unclear.
With 30 minutes to go, here's how the order looks like in Hypercar:
Mathieu Jaminet puts the No. 5 Porsche on top with a brilliant effort of 3m24.717s. That's almost a second quicker than Ferrari's previous benchmark.
But just after taking the chequered flag, Jaminet almost looses the rear at the Dunlop corner.
Replays show minor contact between No. 51 Ferrari and the AWA Corvette at Mulsanne corner. Neither car appears to have picked up any damage.
Stoffel Vandoorne reports no power steering on the No. 93 Peugeot. He is limping back to the pits.
Quick driver change in the No. 6 Porsche as Kevin Estre takes over the car from Matt Campbell
Lexus is back in front in LMGT3, with ASP's No. 78 car leading courtesy of a 3m56.024s
The No.95 United Autosports McLaren has been hit with a five-minute stop-and-go penalty for track limits abuse.
We're back underway in FP3 with 70 minutes remaining.
Race direction has said it will take another five minutes at least to finish those barrier repairs.
Just prior to this red flag, there was a a barrier tag for the No.37 CLX LMP2 entry, which appears to have done some damage to the tyres.
