Molson Kawasaki's Tommy Searle has won the RHR British Under 21 championship by sweeping the seventh round in Wakes Colne this past weekend.

Taking his first adult championship title, the just turned 16-year-old was beaming from ear-to-ear after claiming two wins - taking him to twelve straight victories and handing him the title one round early.

"Qualifying was quite tough as the track was tight and difficult to get used to but then I went out on the last lap and put one in - I went a second quicker than anyone else which was good," said Searle. "I got the holeshot in both races and rode my own race really, just putting in some fast laps and trying to stay consistent without making any mistakes."

However, despite wrapping up the title, Searle has no intention of resting on his laurels as his programme steps up a level with at least two GPs and the final rounds of the British champs planned.

"I'm looking forward to the Isle of Wight next weekend which will be my second ever GP," confirmed Tommy. "I would like to do some more GPs before the end of the season to gain experience - and I still have to do the British champs where I hope to finish top 5 in the championship."
