2025 Austrian MotoGP: Sprint LIVE UPDATES

Live coverage of the Sprint race from the Austrian MotoGP at the Red Bull Ring.

The 13th round of the 2025 MotoGP World Championship takes place this weekend at the Red Bull Ring. The Sprint is set to get underway at 15:00 local time.

Marc Marquez enters Saturday as the fastest rider having topped both practices on Friday, but a crash in qualifying leaves him fourth on the grid. He's chasing his sixth successive Sprint win this afternoon and is defending a 120-point championship lead over Alex Marquez, who starts second.

Marco Bezzecchi came through Q1 to grab pole position this morning despite Aprilia's struggles this weekend. He has been on the podium in two of the last four Sprints.

Pedro Acosta was second-fastest in Practice on Friday, but was only seventh in qualifying this morning. The top KTM on the grid is that of Enea Bastianini.

Francesco Bagnaia has won the last three grands prix in Austria, and both Sprints to have taken place at the Red Bull Ring. He starts third this afternoon but showed good race pace on Friday.

Maverick Vinales was attempting to return from injury this weekend after missing the German and Czech grands prix. However, he was declared unfit after qualifying.

Raul Fernandez was the only Aprilia to finish in the top-10 yesterday and so Ai Ogura is in Q1 along with reigning champion Jorge Martin, and Marco Bezzecchi who has been on the podium three times in the past four races.

Bezzecchi and Martin were both better in FP2 this morning, but whether that translates to time attacks remains to be seen.

Bagnaia ends second-fastest and 0.326s behind his teammate, Acosta third-fastest and 0.364s behind Marquez.
