2025 Aragon WorldSBK: Race 2 LIVE UPDATES

Live coverage of Race 2 from the 2025 Aragon WorldSBK at MotorLand Aragon.

Race 2 at the 2025 Aragon WorldSBK is due to start at 14:00 local time this afternoon over 18 laps.

Nicolo Bulega starts on pole position after winning this morning's Superpole Race. Toprak Razgatlioglu and Alvaro Bautista join him on the front row.

Razgatlioglu took victory yesterday from second on the grid, the loss to Bulega today was the first for him since May. He holds a 41-point lead over the Italian.

Sam Lowes completed Race 1's podium and starts fifth. Andrea Iannone and Alex Lowes complete the second row.

Axel Bassani will start 12th this afternoon after going from last to eighth in Race 1 following a back-of-the-grid penalty for ignoring yellow flags in FP2. He finished 11th this morning.

Vierge to replace Rea at Yamaha

Immediately after the end of Race 2, Yamaha has released a statement announcing that it has signed Xavi Vierge to partner Andrea Locatelli at its factory WorldSBK team for 2026.

The Spaniard will replace the retiring Jonathan Rea.

Victory for Nicolo Bulega in Race 2 at Aragon, he doubles up on Sunday.

P2 again for Razgatlioglu, Bautista completes the podium.

Iannone secures fourth from Rea, then Alex Lowes, Locatelli, Petrucci, Bassani, and Vierge complete the top-10.

Late crash for van der Mark, turn 16 on the penultimate lap. He was seventh and was able to walk away.

iannone escaping with fourth, Rea no longer under pressure from Lowes because the Marc VDS rider has crashed at turn 14.

Two laps to go now and the race at the front is done. Bautista keeping some pressure on Razgatlioglu.

Battle for fourth still raging. Iannone has it for now over Rea, Sam Lowes also right there in that battle.

1.6s now between the front two, Razgatlioglu has 1.3s behind him to Bautista with five to go.

Zaidi has crashed out, that's his first DNF of the season.

Razgatlioglu back to the front at turn seven, missed the corner pretty bad that time. Check over the shoulder for Bulega and he's looking at 2.4s back to Bautista, who is now 3s clear of Rea.

Razgatlioglu leads again at turn 15, Bulega leads again over the line. You know the drill by now. 

This time, Razgatlioglu back to the front at turn one.

At 16, you guessed it, Bulega retakes the lead.

Razgatlioglu came from so far back to make the turn 15 pass that time, that was unreal.

Bulega turns underneath him in the final couple of corners and leads into lap seven.

Razgatlioglu wide at turn 16 as Bulega makes his move there again. Fastest lap for Bulega and he has a few tenths thanks to that mistake from Razgatlioglu.
