Toyota's young drivers all seated for 2002.
Toyota Motorsport has defined the individual programmes for all three of its young drivers for the upcoming season.
Ryan Briscoe will drive in Formula 3000 for Nordic Racing in 2002. The 20-year old Australian moves up to F3000 following a championship-winning 2001 season in the Italian Formula Renault series, and slips into the seat vacated by reigning FIA F3000 champion Justin Wilson. The former karting star will partner the equally inexperienced Zsolt Baumgartner in Derek Mower's Norfolk-based squad.

Frenchman Franck Perera and Swede Alex Storckenfeldt will partner each other in the Italian Formula Renault series, racing for the crack Prema Powerteam operation which fielded Briscoe in 2001. Both 17-year olds are stepping up to car racing after successful karting careers, and will also take part in six Formula Renault EuroCup races this season.
Briscoe is expected to spend some time behind the wheel of the TF102 grand prix car as the team grooms him for possible Formula One glory in the future, but will probably have to wait until the car - and drivers Mika Salo and Allan McNish prove competitive in their debut season before getting a concerted test role.
