Maserati play part in Indy festival.
Maserati was an integral part of the build up to the United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis, with old and new models from the famous Italian marque on parade at the Brickyard.
Just before the Ferrari Challenge race, three of the 'Trident' brand's cars put on a demonstration around the most famous track in the USA - the new Spyder Cambiocorsa, the competition Trofeo and the 8CTF, which Wilbur Shaw used to win the Indianapolis 500 in 1939 and 1940.

Two special guest drivers were at the wheel, with current Ferrari pilots Michael Schumacher and Luca Badoer each lapping the purpose-built Indianapolis F1 circuit. The five-time world champion drove one lap in both the Trofeo and the 8CTF, while the Scuderia's official test driver acted as pace car for both runs driving the Spyder Cambiocorsa.
"Driving the Maseratis was really good fun," Schumacher claimed afterwards, "I had already driven the Trofeo at the Nurburgring, so I knew what to expect of it - it is a great car to say the least and, on top of that, the engine note is beautiful. The 8CTF, meanwhile, handled very well, and I must admit I was surprised at what good shape it's in."
