The British Racing Drivers' Club is beginning to cast doubt over the alternative redevelopment proposal revealed last week, following the lack of any substantial follow-up from either Harry Stiller or Bernie Ecclestone.

Revised front wing to lift Monteiro.
Midland MF1 driver Tiago Monteiro has said that he thinks the Toyota powered M16 will definitely perform better at the San Marino GP this weekend, than it has to date this season in either Bahrain, Malaysia or Australia.
Fisichella to run B-spec engine at Imola.
Giancarlo Fisichella will be the first Renault driver to get his hands on the RS26B engine in competition, when he debuts the uprated unit at this weekend's San Marino Grand Prix.

Schumi signs new two-year deal with Ferrari?
Ferrari team leader, Michael Schumacher has apparently agreed a deal to stay with the Scuderia in 2007 and 2008, having signed a new ?60 million contact.

Trapped nerve stops Barrichello.
Honda's Rubens Barrichello was forced to abandon testing earlier than expected on Friday, during the third and final day of the teams test at the Circuit de Catalunya, after trapping a nerve in his shoulder.

Barcelona test - day four: 14 April.
Renault third driver, Heikki Kovalainen set the pace on the fourth and final day of testing at the Circuit de Catalunya on Friday, as the regie locked out the top two places.
Midland issues official denial of problems.
Much has been made in the past few days of possible financial and management problems within the Midland MF1 team, to the extent that the team has decided to issue an official statement to set the record straight.
Albers kicks off Silverstone test.
Christijan Albers enjoyed the freedom of Silverstone yesterday [Wednesday] as he started Midland MF1's latest Formula One test just across the road from the team's base.
Italian GP saved by waiver.
The Italian Grand Prix will go ahead this year, and in future, after the local government for the region surrounding Monza opted in favour of an exemption to noise regulations.

Toyota's Jarno Trulli set the pace on the third day at the Circuit de Catalunya on Thursday.
Bernie to offer alternative to Silverstone plan?
Bernie Ecclestone is rumoured to be behind an alternative plan for the redevelopment of Silverstone, in an effort to keep the British Grand Prix on the F1 calendar and under the control of the British Racing drivers' Club.

Foster's pull plug on F1.
Foster's have announced that they will cease their sponsorship of F1 at the end of this year. The news is blow for the British Grand Prix, which is backed by the Australian lager company, as well as the Australian and San Marino Grand's Prix, which also enjoy backing from the company.

Barcelona test - day two: 12 April.
Renault third driver, Heikki Kovalainen set the pace at the Circuit de Catalunya on Wednesday, as F1 testing moved into its second day at the Spanish circuit, with more than double the amount of drivers on track compared to day one.

Carlin confirms F1 entry plans.
British F3 International Series title holders Carlin Motorsport has confirmed that it is one of the teams to have lodged an entry to the FIA for the 2008 Formula One championship.

Ralf Schumacher has said that he believes he can still win the drivers' championship one day - and that he will do it with Toyota.

Juan Pablo Montoya says he's happy with his performance in the Australian GP, despite the off-track incident that caused his engine to cut and put him out of the race.

Status Quo to appear at British GP Party.
The organisers of the British GP have confirmed that rock and roll band, Status Quo, will be back to entertain F1 fans at this year's Grand Prix Party on Sunday June 11.

Wheatcroft to share memories at special evening.
One of motor racing's real characters, Tom Wheatcroft, is to share memories of his time in Formula One during a special evening at the Donington Grand Prix Collection on 18 April.

Paul Ricard test - day two: April 6.
Pedro de la Rosa hit the front at Paul Ricard as the F1 group test in France headed into a second day.

Montoya: Raikkonen threw his car at me!
McLaren-Mercedes driver, Juan Pablo Montoya has hit out at his team-mate Kimi Raikkonen. The two again played hard ball at the start of the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday, similar to how they had done in Malaysia. Although no contact was made, the Colombian was less than impressed.

Vallelunga test - day one: April 4.
Honda third driver, Anthony Davidson set the pace on Tuesday, as the latest round of F1 testing began at the Vallelunga circuit on the outskirts of Rome.
Symonds plays down Fisico 'hurry-up'.
Renault executive director of engineering Pat Symonds has attempted to untangle the confusion surrounding radio traffic heard between Giancarlo Fisichella and race engineer Alan Permane during the Australian Grand Prix.
Speed: Point was like victory...
Scuderia Toro Rosso driver Scott Speed has admitted that his emotional outburst at losing eighth place in the Australian Grand Prix was heightened because of the rush he had from crossing the line in the points.
Fry confirms Button tyre problem, park request.
Cold front tyres were the main reason for Jenson Button's below par performance in the Australian Grand Prix, and meant that the Honda driver struggled to get up to speed after safety car interventions.
