European Minardi has welcomed Gericom AG as its newest sponsor and technical partner, marking the first-ever involvement in Formula One for the Austrian company.

The first rain of the Malaysian Grand Prix weekend arrived overnight on Saturday, leaving the Sepang circuit soaking wet for the start of the pre-race warm-up session.

Three times World Champion Michael Schumacher has confirmed that an agreement has been made with Sports Europe the suppler of his Bell helmet. This means that Schumacher is now free to switch to his preferred choice the Schuberth Helme brand.

Over ?100,000 raised for the Beveridge family.
The Formula One circus has raised over ?100,000 for the family of marshal Graham Beveridge, killed during the Australian Grand Prix. The FIA has given ?30,000, while F1 ringmaster Bernie Ecclestone and Australian GP chairman Ron Walker are said to have donated ?10,000 each.
