The QI-Meritus team will return to compete in the upcoming GP2 Asia Series following a successful maiden appearance in the championship last season.

The Malaysian-based team assumed the 13th and final GP2 Asia entry for last year's inaugural season after regular competitors Racing Engineering announced they wouldn't be taking part.

With the new GP2 Series Champions once again deciding to sit out this year's championship, QI-Meritus will fill their position with another two driver effort.

Despite their lack of experience in GP2, QI-Meritus, which normally races in Formula Renault V6 Asia, nonetheless impressed with their accomplished driver line-up of Luca Filippi and Hiroki Yoshimoto.

The new GP2 Asia Series gets underway in Shanghai on 18/19th October as a support race for the Chinese Grand Prix.
