New injury for Sven Breugelmans.

Belgian Suzuki rider Sven Breugelmans, who broke his leg during the International Motocross at Hawkstone Park in England back in February, has suffered a major setback to his recovery.

Surgeons carried out a further operation on the injury last week when it was found that part of his meniscus was broken off and his cross ligaments were snapped.

Surgeons carried out a further operation on the injury last week when it was found that part of his meniscus was broken off and his cross ligaments were snapped.

Breugelmans, who is in the same Suzuki team as World 250cc Championship leader Mickael Pichon, has been told that the injury will now almost certainly require a further four months to heal. This is obviously a major blow to the Belgian's hopes of returning to racing action this year - in all probability we may not see the Suzuki teamster in action again until 2003.
