ACU express disgust at Dorna decision.

ACU Chairman Ted Bartlett has expressed his disgust at Dorna's decision to cancel this year's Motocross Grand Prix at Rushmoor.

Despite the intervention of the FIM, it has not been possible to persuade Dorna to re-consider their decision.

"Having found a new and exciting venue it is tragic to loose out in these circumstances," began a fuming Bartlett. "The official reasoning for cancellation remains the failure of the event organiser, Andy Nicholls, to meet the deadline for contract signing.

"Dorna has resisted pressure from the FIM, and as was reported last week, Dorna's involvement in motocross Grand Prix may terminate prematurely at the end of 2003," added Bartlett, making reference to Dorna's rumoured exit from Motocross.

The ACU stated that it will continue to work closely with any club and organiser that attempts to bring the Motocross GP back to Great Britain in 2004.
