Alessi GP debut scrapped.

The on going saga of when KTM star Mike Alessi would make his World Championship debut has apparently been settled for this year at least with the news that - just days after he was confirmed by Youthstream as entering round two of the series at Bellpuig, Spain - he will now not attend any 2005 GPs due to injury.

The teenage American sensation underwent a scan after hurting his back during training and although no fractures were revealed, he has trapped nerves and compression of the T2 and T3 vertebrae.

Alessi will now concentrate on being fit for the first AMA National, in May, at which he will steer his new KTM SXF.
