However, one of those events looks likely to return since there is still one 'to-be-announced' date on the 2006 calendar, while the Teuschental circuit will replace Gaildorf as home of the Grand Prix of Germany. The Grand Prix of France will be held at Ernee, instead of St Jean D'Angely.

Meanwhile, the Grand Prix of Great Britain will have a new venue with the to-be-built Matterley Basin circuit replacing Matchams Parks. As previously reported, the Winchester based event will also now host the end of season Motocross of Nations on September 24.

The German and Swedish GPs will count towards the Womans' World Cup, while the Veterans' World Cup will take place during the Grand Prix of Belgium, at Namur.
