Suzuki GB has revealed an early Christmas present for aspiring bike racers, having pledged its support of the Relentless Suzuki Academy Team, a new operation set up to help young riders throughout the 2007 season.
Suzuki GB has revealed an early Christmas present for aspiring bike racers, having pledged its support of the Relentless Suzuki Academy Team, a new operation set up to help young riders throughout the 2007 season.
Initiated by for British 125cc Championship rider Paul Butler, the new team already has the backing of energy drink brand Relentless and will support no fewer than six riders of varying levels and abilities in a host of classes and series' during 2007. Already confirmed for the inaugural line-up are Kieron Mulloy, Jake Page, Luke Dean, Tim Truman. Matt Ridgeway and Keaton Butler.
"I am delighted to be able to finally announce the team," Paul Butler admitted, "It's taken a great deal of hard work to piece this together but, with the backing of Relentless, Suzuki GB and a host of other important sponsors, we've been able to create a team and a network of support for young promising riders right across the country."
Suzuki GB marketing manager Paul de Lusignan admitted that he was equally excited by the project, claiming that there were obvious benefits for his brand.
"We are pleased to be able to agree support for Paul and his team for next year," he said, "We are keen to see the development of the sport at youth level and see this as a great opportunity for all involved. We wish the team the best of luck for the forthcoming season."
