McCoy undergoes successful operation.

Australian Garry McCoy has had a successful operation on the injured wrist he sustained when he crashed in the Saturday morning practice session for the French Grand Prix at Le Mans.

The Yamaha rider broke the scaphoid bone in his left wrist when he fell after leading the Friday qualifying session, losing his provisional pole position and any realistic chance of challenging Valentino Rossi for the GP500 world title. A decision regarding McCoy's chances of riding at Mugello - or whether he will be replaced - will be made early next week.
