Spanish sweep has Criville on edge of seat.

Alex Criville, Spain's only premier class World Champion, has spoken of his pride at the Spanish domination of the French Grand Prix, Sete Gibernau winning the MotoGP race and following up victories from compatriots Toni Elias and Dani Pedrosa, in the 250cc and 125cc categories respectively.

"The victories in 125 and 250 were a little dull - both riders did very well to take advantage of opportunity - but the MotoGP race was vibrant! Even I, someone who is normally very calm, felt adrenaline flowing in the last race," added Alex, who admitted that Rossi had the measure of Gibernau in the first race. "I knew Sete (pictured) had a great chance, but when Rossi hit the front in the dry I thought 'Good-bye'.

"However, when it began to rain I believed Sete would give his all because he goes very well in the wet. Rossi was nervous on the last lap. He can't bear to lose, even though he seemed happy when the race finished," declared the former Repsol rider. "It is clear that Sete has learned from his error at Jerez. He was not riding nervously and that's the way to beat Rossi."
