No MotoGP wild-cards at Donington.

The FIM have announced that the next round of the MotoGP World Championship, the British Grand Prix on July 13, will feature no premier class wild-cards.

Kawasaki had been planning to once again enter test rider Akira Yanagawa at Donington Park, but today's announcement confirms Yanagawa's absence from the event - almost certainly due to the neck injuries he received in his first lap crash at the Catalan Grand Prix.

However, the news was not all bad for the home fans with the support 125 and 250cc classes due to feature no less than eight up-and-coming Brits (plus one Swede) - to add to series regulars Jeremy McWilliams (MotoGP), Chaz Davies (250cc) and Leon Camier (125cc).

It is unclear whether Brit Chris Burns and his troubled WCM team will participate at Donington, on Honda V-Twin two-strokes, the team having stated that the following German Grand Prix is a more likely date for their GP return.

One rider who definitely won't be at Donington is Dane Robbin Harms, who didn't stop at the pits immediately after having been shown the black flags during the 125cc race at Assen - the Race Direction have decided to suspend him from Donington Park as a result.
