Shinya Nakano and his D'Antin Yamaha Team had a sour end to their Assen weekend, when race day rain left the Japanese just 13th by the end of the 19 laps. Now, Nakano heads to Donington Park eager to make amends at a circuit which should suit his M1.

"Donington is a very technical track," stated the Japanese rider, who has been resting at his home in Barcelona since Assen. "It's also a track where Yamahas work very well. The first section, the Craner curves, is too fast, but after that you get into the final section and it's all stop-and-go. I'm a bit disappointed after Assen and my target is to make up for this with a good result in Donington."

"Donington Park has always been good for Yamahas," confirmed D'Ant?n technical director Naoya Kaneko. "From Friday we'll be looking for a set-up that fits the track's special features. We need a bike with good handling in the fast section and also stable in the hard braking areas of the final part."
