Kenny Roberts Jr will miss his third Grand Prix in a row after failing to recover sufficiently from his Mugello injuries, and so - as at Assen two weeks ago - his place in the Suzuki team will be taken by Yukio Kagayama (pictured).

Roberts injured his chest when he collided with team-mate John Hopkins while trying to pass the 20-year-old in the early stages of the Italian Grand Prix.

Kenny Roberts Jr will miss his third Grand Prix in a row after failing to recover sufficiently from his Mugello injuries, and so - as at Assen two weeks ago - his place in the Suzuki team will be taken by Yukio Kagayama (pictured).

Roberts injured his chest when he collided with team-mate John Hopkins while trying to pass the 20-year-old in the early stages of the Italian Grand Prix.

Although he didn't break any bones, the former world champion damaged his sternum and returned home to America for treatment soon after.

It has now been decided that Kr Jr is still unfit to race and so Kagayama will make his fifth race start in five weekend's (1 WSBK, 2 BSB, 2 MotoGP) on Sunday. Kagayama has prepared perfectly by taking his first ever BSB victory, on his way to winning both races, at Rockingham yesterday.

That race was watched by Kagayama's GP racing countrymen Noriyuki Haga and Nobuatsu Aoki - fans' favourite 'Yuki' will now line-up with them on the Donington grid.
