The FIA - the governing body for the World Rally Championship, has today released a revised calendar for 2004 following a meeting of the World Motor Sport Council in Paris.

Two date changes have now been confirmed in the schedule for events in Argentina and New Zealand, the latter switching to April [from July], while the former goes to June [from April].

The FIA also revealed which events will feature the Junior World Rally Championship [JWRC], and which will be part of the Production Car World Rally Championship [PCWRC]. Cyprus and Japan were not mentioned, and as such it must be assumed they will not host a support category round.

The only other point of notice, was that the Rallye d'Italia switches to Sardinia, in recent years it has been held in Sanremo.
