Miguel Oliveira has revealed some details about the purpose of BMW's new fairing being used this weekend.
The Portuguese rider says Balaton is not the kind of circuit where its effects will be most noticeable and he expects BMW to continue evaluating it in the coming rounds.

Nicolo Bulega says he thinks he can fight for the win in Hungary this weekend despite being beaten in both practices today by Iker Lecuona.

BMW had a new fairing during practice today at Balaton, although only Miguel Oliveira used it.
The update consists of two strakes at the back of the fairing on either side, possibly for cooling or management of the air around the rear tyre.

Chequered flag is out in FP2 at Balaton and it's Lecuona who ends fastest thanks to his final lap. Bulega second and Sam Lowes third.

Race running as usual the priority of this FP2 session for more or less everyone, so a fairly slow ending to this session. Just heading into the final five minutes now and the top-10 is the same as it was in our earlier update.
Mackenzie has just popped up to 11th, though, and Vierge's PB has just put him 14th.
Petrucci back in the BMW garage saying he had a problem when he shifted from second to third gear at turn three when he crashed. Seemed to suggest the gear didn't engage correctly, but difficult to say exactly from the TV mic in the garage.
Petrucci has gone down at turn three. Looks like a fairly big one but he's waking away from it.

Bulega has improved to a 1m39.100s, so just over a tenth behind Lecuona now.
Lecuona down into the 1m38s for the first time this weekend - a 1m38.996 puts him 0.3s clear of Bulega now, and 0.5s clear of Lowes.
Lecuona down to a 1m39.382s, but he's down to second place as Bulega puts in a 1m39.323s. Sam Lowes down to third now but still a Ducati 1-2-3.
Bassani with a decent start to the session, fastest and down to a 1m40.271s, but he's quickly bettered by two Ducatis: Lecuona top and into the 1m39s, and Sam Lowes second on a 1m40.0s.
Pit lane is open in Balaton and we are underway for 45 minutes of FP2.
Just five minutes or so out from FP2 starting in Hungary now and conditions are looking about as good as you could hope for.

Iker Lecuona was fastest this morning in FP1, topping the session by over 0.2 seconds from Nicolo Bulega.
The Spaniard said yesterday that this weekend could be his chance to beat his team-mate - early days, of course, but it's been a good start for Lecuona.
