2026 Hungarian WorldSBK, Friday Practice Results: Ducati dominate, Lecuona leads

Results from the second practice at the 2026 Hungarian WorldSBK from Balaton Park, the fourth round of the 2026 season.

Iker Lecuona led the FP2 session at Balaton Park, making it a sweep of Friday's practices for the Spaniard. He and Nicolo Bulega were the only riders to lap in the 1m38s, although Sam Lowes in third was only 0.002 seconds away from breaking the 1m39s barrier.

Lorenzo Baldassarri was fourth and behind him Alberto Surra, Yari Montella, and Alvaro Bautista made it an all-Ducati top-seven in FP2.

Alex Lowes was the leading non-Ducati rider once again in eighth, ahead of Miguel Oliveira and Axel Bassani in the top-10.

Danilo Petrucci was the only crasher in the session, the Italian falling at turn three as he changed gear from second to third.

FP1

Iker Lecuona was fastest in an uneventful opening practice at Balaton, beating teammate Nicolo Bulega by over 0.2 seconds.

Bulega, Sam Lowes, and Lorenzo Baldassarri completed the top-four for Ducati. Alex Lowes was the first non-Ducati rider in fifth and almost a second slower than Lecuona.

Garrett Gerloff, Miguel Oliveira, Yari Montella, Tarran Mackenzie, and Xavi Vierge rounded out the top-10.
