2026 Czech WorldSBK Superpole Race LIVE: Bulega remains unbeaten

Live updates from the Superpole Race and Race 2 at the 2026 Czech WorldSBK at Autodrom Most.

Key Moments

  • Nicolo Bulega starts from pole
  • Danilo Petrucci and Alvaro Bautista ruled out after separate crashes
  • Bulega looks to continue unbeaten run of 17 race wins
  • Superpole Race begins at 10:10am BST

Nicolo Bulega will start the Superpole Race from pole position after setting a new lap record in qualifying on Saturday.

The championship leader also heads into today's races with an unbeaten streak of 17 wins, although he had to fight hard to keep that run alive in Race 1.

Iker Lecuona was once again Bulega's biggest threat in Race 1, which is expected to be the case in both of Sunday's races.

Lecuona will start from third place in the Superpole Race, behind Barni's Yari Montella who is on solo duty for the team this weekend following Alvaro Bautista's big crash on Saturday morning.

The two-time series champion was declared unfit after a crash at turn 20 during FP3. Bautista is not the only high-profile name missing from today's action, as ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK rider Danilo Petrucci has also been ruled out.

Petrucci crashed on lap one of Saturday's race, after he suffered a violent highside at turn 13. The former MotoGP race winner suffered a broken coccyx and several contusions, including his lower back, left hip, and left pelvis.

Sam Lowes will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing Race 1, after the Marc VDS rider was taken out by Alberto Surra
