Lowes technical problem
Here's the issue that befell Alex Lowes earlier, forcing him to retire from the Superpole Race. From the outside, it seems a bit odd that he didn't pit. Either way, he'll start 10th for Race 2 as a result of this.

Sunday at Misano looks to be another day of WorldSBK racing that will be dominated by Nicolo Bulega. The Italian enjoyed his most dominant victory, in a dry race, of the season in Race 1, and was victorious once again in the Superpole Race this morning.
Bulega's team-mate, Iker Lecuona, has been second in the last 17 races, and that streak looks set to continue this afternoon, after he was over five seconds clear of Yari Montella yesterday in Race 1. Lecuona was also more competitive relative to Bulega this morning, although the Italian was ultimately still comfortable out front.
Montella has been third in both races so far this weekend, but could have more competition for that final podium spot in Race 2, mostly from Lorenzo Baldassarri who seemed to have the pace to go with his compatriot yesterday before he crashed out. Sam Lowes has had good speed this weekend, too, but will start Race 2 from the fourth row after a crash in the Superpole Race.
Alex Lowes started from the back of the front row in third place this morning, but was unfortunate in the Supeprole Race to retire with a technical problem and will start 10th this afternoon as a result. Lowes' loss was Axel Basssani's gain and the Italian will start from the front of row two for Race 2 today.

Bulega seeks Misano treble
Misano is Nicolo Bulega's home race, but he'd never won here in WorldSBK in his previous two visits.
This year, though, he has the chance at a treble entering Race 2, and is the clear favourite for victory having been dominant all weekend and to a greater extent than we've seen from the Italian since Phillip Island.
His win streak still stretches back to Estoril Race 2 last year, of course, so a win this afternoon would take him onto 25 consecutive victories.

It's victory yet again for Nicolo Bulega in the Superpole Race at Misano.
Lecuona takes second and Montella third again.
Bassani takes fourth, then it's Surra, Baldassarri, and Oliveira who dropped back on the last lap. Could be P5 for Baldassarri after Surra's penalty.
Locatelli and Mackenzie take the last two points positions. Manzi completes the top-10.

Bulega the most dominant he's been in Race 1
Generally speaking, Iker Lecuona has been gradually reducing his deficit to Nicolo Bulega this season, even if he has finished second to his team-mate in every race since Portimao.
Bulega, though, was more dominant than ever before in 2026 yesterday in Race 1, finishing over six seconds clear of Lecuona.
