MCE British Superbikes will make its US-broadcast debut after an agreement between Eurosport and Discovery Communications.

The Discovery-owned Velocity cable channel is launching a two-hour, Saturday afternoon programming block devoted to motorsports, including motorcycle racing and trucks.

"Eurosport on Velocity" launches on Saturday 28th September from 1:00-3:00pm ET and will be replayed Sunday mornings.

Programming will initially include highlights from the British Superbike Championship, the FIA European Rally Championship, the Silk Way Rally and the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge.

The deal is the first programming agreement forged by the two companies since December, when Discovery took a 20% stake in the European sports channel.

This deal marks the first time Eurosport programming and contents has been sold into the US market. Velocity is the former Discovery HD Theatre channel. It was relaunched as an "upscale men's network" and is available in 54 million homes.
