Emmett under pressure.

Monstermob Ducati boss Paul Bird is demanding action from Sean Emmett after his team suffered their 'worst weekend ever' at Oulton Park.

Emmett struggled with his factory spec 999 F04 throughout the entire event and, after taking eighth in race one (34secs behind race winner Yukio Kagayama), the Brit gambled on radical changes for race two.

However, when these made matters worse Emmett pulled into the pits and retired, his DNF leaving him fifth in the championship - a massive 81 points behind Rizla Suzuki's John Reynolds.

"This is the worst Superbike weekend we have ever had and it is just not acceptable," stated Bird, whose team have won the last two BSB titles. "Things will have to change from now on and I need to see some more improvement and effort from Sean's side."

Unfortunately for Emmett, Leon Haslam put his Renegade run 999 - using Pirelli tyres - ahead of him in race one (before falling on the run to flag) and went on to finish sixth in race two.
