Jentin/Lloyds sticks with Andrews.

"I am really pleased to be riding for Jentin Racing/Lloyds British again this year," said Andrews. "The new [control] tyre rule will be good for the championship, as it will put teams on more of a level playing field. Our new R1 looks fantastic and I can't wait to get on board and put it through its paces."

The Gloucester-based team will run the 23-year-old on two '08 Jentin Yamaha R1s and have high hopes for success this year.

"We secured several top ten finishes in 2007 and with two new bikes currently being built will be looking to further the teams success in the new 2008 season," said team manager Bernie Toleman. "I am delighted that Simon has agreed to remain with the team for 2008 and I am looking forward to working with him once again. Ongoing team/rider continuity is even more important this year with the change of tyre manufacturer and also the changes to engine specification. The team ran very successfully in '04 on Pirelli tyres and I have every confidence we can adjust quickly to the new tyres and secure some top results."

Along with several other British Superbike teams, Andrews and Jentin Racing/Lloyds British will take part in the Pirelli/BSB test at Guadix in early March prior to the Snetterton test over Easter in preparation for the new season that kicks off at Brands Hatch on April 6.
