Scott Smart made history for Vivaldi Racing at Donington Park on Sunday, when he cleverly mastered treacherous race two conditions to take the team's first ever Bennetts British Superbike victory.

Rizla Suzuki riders Shane Byrne and James Haydon fell a total of five times during Sunday's rain hit races at Donington Park, venue for round two of the 2006 Bennetts British Superbike Championship.

Airwaves Ducati rider Gregorio Lavilla took an impressive pole position at Donington Park ahead of round two of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship. His time was 1min 31.542secs, 0.176secs under his own lap record set last season.

Pere Riba on his MSS Discovery Kawasaki was the man to beat during free practice two at Donington Park. Fellow Spaniard, Gregorio Lavilla posted the fastest time in Superbike practice so the Supersport rider has obviously decided to follow his lead!

Gregorio Lavilla put in an awesome qualifying session ahead of the first round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch Indy circuit in Kent.

Just as the undulating Brands Hatch race track was drying out well enough for the lap times to fall, the British weather kicked in and rain ended the session with three minutes to go. Leon "Pocket Rocket" Haslam on his Airwaves Ducati was leading the way with time of 46.318secs.
