Bridewell to pay tribute to brother Ollie

Tommy Bridewell will pay a fitting tribute to his late brother Ollie when the MCE British Superbike Championship visits Mallory Park later this month with a special replica helmet.

The 21-year-old has been a revelation in his first full season of BSB racing aboard the Quay Garage Honda CBR1000RR, Bridewell notching up a fourth place finish last time out at Cadwell Park.

The following round at Mallory Park, however, will signal three years since Tommy's brother Ollie was tragically killed whilst competing in the same series.

To mark the occasion, Bridewell will ride with an Arai helmet sporting the same colours as that of his elder brother. It will then be donated to the CJ Riders Fund as part of their quest to purchase a 'Clinica Mobile' for BSB, similar to the ones in MotoGP and World Superbikes.

"I wanted to do something special and what better tribute to old ginger than not only racing with his number, but to get a helmet painted in his colours.

"Arai have kindly donated one and whilst Ollie's favourite charity was Cancer Research, we felt that the CJ Fund does such brilliant work in BSB, I'd like to donate it to them to raise as much money as possible."
