Johnson signs up for BSB Evo

David 'DJ' Johnson has signed for the newly-formed Magic Bullet Racing team and will contest the BSB Evo class, alongside team-mate Michael Howarth, in 2010.

The Hinckley-based Australian already has plenty of Superbike experience, and he is planning on using this to his benefit as he takes part in the all-new Evo category on-board a Suzuki GSX-R1000.

"It's a great package which the Magic Bullet Racing team has put together for me and it has all just fallen into place," said Johnson. "I've been down to the work shop and it is impressive, my bike is good too, so I'll be going all out for the Superbike Evo title. Its great being on the same team as Howie, he is a real character and we will work well together both on and off the track. I'm really looking forward to it."

"I'm pleased to have signed the services of David so we are now fielding two talented riders in the Superbike Evo class," added the team's race director Dave Tyson. "The Magic Bullet Racing team is determined to make its mark this season and with our current line up I'm sure we will do just that."

Magic Bullet is also running Nikki Coates in the Metzeler Superstock 600 class, and Dan Brill in the Metzeler National Superstock 1000cc.
