Karl Harris will return to the MCE British Superbike Championship at Mallory Park after inking a one-off deal with the East Coast Racing team.

Harris, a former Honda and Yamaha rider, began the season racing an Aprilia in the National Superstock 1000 series having been unable to source a BSB contract for 2010, only for that relationship to turn sour three rounds in.

Nonetheless, Harris will be back in the BSB paddock in time for Mallory Park riding the ex-Rob Mac Racing Yamaha he competed with back in 2008.

Racing under the East Coast Racing banner, Harris is delighted to be renewing old rivalries once again.

"It's mega to be back and Mallory Park is one of those aggressive, ballsy circuits so I am definitely up for that," he said. "The Yamaha should work well around there and anything can happen, so I am up for the fight as always. I want to put on a good show and will be giving it a good go on Sunday that's for sure."

East Coast Racing had originally planned to enter Irishman Patrick MacDougall this season, but instead decided to turn its attentions to the British Supersport Championship with Tom Grant.
