Max Verstappen’s girlfriend Kelly Piquet: Meet the partner of the F1 world champ

Max Verstappen and his partner, Kelly Piquet, have welcomed their first baby together.

Verstappen became a father for the first time.

Brazilian model Kelly Piquet, 34, has been in a relationship with Verstappen, 24, since 2020.

Her father is Nelson Piquet, the Brazilian who won three F1 world championships.

Kelly has an impressive career of her own spanning fashion and social media.

She is fluent in multiple languages after attending school in Brazil, France, and England.

She was famously on the cover of Vogue Magazine in the Netherlands, wearing a racing helmet.

Kelly said in that interview with Vogue: “My earliest memories are of the racetrack, when I first came to Brazil when I was five with my brother Nelson who was eight. 

"He went karting and was immediately obsessed. They are fond memories, the afternoons I spent at the kart track after school, watching him go round and round until the sun went down. I would goof around, play with the mechanics.

"There is a really funny video of me walking down the pit lane with a sandwich in one hand and a drink in the other, with my hair down to my bum. The princess of the track.

"I've always been very involved in my brother's career. I've seen the ups and downs, seen what the pressure does to a person. This world is so familiar to me, I know what those guys go through."

Kelly Piquet's ex is a former F1 driver

Verstappen is not the first love interest from the F1 paddock of Kelly Piquet’s life.

She has a daughter with Daniil Kvyat. Kyvat, a Russian driver, has two spells in F1 between 2014-2016 and 2019-2020 during which he dated Kelly.

Kelly has over 1.9m Instagram followers.

"We couldn’t be happier with our little miracle," she posted when announcing her pregnancy with Verstappen.

Kelly celebrated her boyfriend's first world title win at the end of the 2021 season at the controversial Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with the caption: "World f***** champion. Just unforgettable."

She has been by his side throughout his era of F1 dominance.
