Vettel wins F1 2011 Turkish GP

Sebastian Vettel comes through to win in Turkey and take his third win of the season ahead of his team-mate, Mark Webber and Fernando Alonso.

Sebastian Vettel came through to win the F1 2011 Turkish Grand Prix today at Istanbul Park.

Vettel, who started from pole in his Red Bull RB7, led throughout and eventually finished 8.8 seconds up on his team-mate, Mark Webber. Fernando Alonso took the final place on the podium for Ferrari, the Scuderia's first rostrum result of the year, with Lewis Hamilton's McLaren and Nico Rosberg's Mercedes in fourth and fifth respectively.

Jenson Button, the only front-runner to three-stop, came in sixth, while Renault's Nick Heidfeld was seventh and Vitaly Petrov eighth, the latter passing Sebastien Buemi on the final lap.

Kamui Kobayashi completed the top ten in his Sauber.
